WHERE KINDNESS IS THE PASSWORD
4-25-10
By
Nora Woodall Roberts
God, if you have a place
on your green Earth
where kindness is the password
let me someday go there.
Let me smile when I am sad.
Let me be cheerful
when all my life is bad.
Just let me go, God!
Let me help build this village.
Let all the crushed of soul
come and smile and forget
their abuse by those
who should have loved them and failed.
Let them bring bricks of good will
and nails of Love
and give them golden hammers
to build each house.
Let no discord or doubt
ever enter the door.
Let them write in gold letters
high on the wall:
Welcome friend!
None at all
shall speak harshly here.
Kindness is th password -- everywhere.
